A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

This game was made in order to test knowledge of libgdx collisions and array lists within Android Studio in a week. This game was developed by Jordan Muniz, Aiden Hughes, and Anusha Karandikar.

Blastronaut is a 2D infinite runner that takes place on Mars from the perspective of an astronaut trying to survive against a constant barrage of alien weaponry.  The only saving grace our hero has against this looming threat is his ability to jump high into the air, even with the low gravity of Mars, and the weapons he receives from falling supply crates!

Press Space to start.

Press Space to jump, and to ground pound while in the air.

Press the Up Arrow to shoot.

The goal is to dodge and destroy as many alien missiles as possible for as long as possible.

Some difficulties we faced while developing this game were figuring out how to generate a random gun when the player made contact with the crate. We also had trouble with resetting the hitboxes of the bombs when they became tanks.

In the future, we hope to add achievements and levels. We also plan to make better animation and add a wider variety of both guns and enemies.

Thank you to the TAs for helping us with the development of the game and to Mr. Kyle Dencker for  teaching us concepts of game developments within Java and Android Studio.
